DePaul MALS/IDS Graduate Liberal and Interdisciplinary Program at Upcoming Graduate Open House

DePaul Admissions will host a Graduate School Open House Thursday, May 8, 2014 from 5 to 7 PM. MALS/IDS Associate Director, Susan Jacobs, as well as the programs’ Student Assistant, Caelin Niehoff, will staff an information table in the Lincoln Park Student Center room 120. We will provide program informational materials and will answer questions regarding the MALS and IDS programs. In addition to our table, the event includes representatives from the University’s ten graduate colleges and schools. Arrive early and participate in a Graduate Admission FAQ Panel beginning at 4 PM.

The DePaul Career Center offers a variety of events and workshops that address anything and everything from sessions on social media accounts to a resume “drive thru.” This quarter they offer several workshops specific to graduate students, such as “Navigating Your Career Change” as well as a website dedicated to surviving graduation–appropriately named survivethegradpocalypse.org. Call for Papers: AGLSP 2014 Conference

The Association of Graduate Liberal Studies Programs 2014 Conference will take place in Philadelphia from October 9th to 11th. The University of Pennsylvania and Villanova University will host the Conference, and have recently opened their call for papers/panels. The Conference theme this year is revolutions: “Papers are welcome from multiple disciplines. Special consideration will be given to papers which combine the perspectives of various disciplines.” Send your abstracts (1-2 pages) to Marylu Hill at marylu.hill@villanova.edu and Chris Pastore at cpastore@sas.upenn.edu by June 1, 2014.

Summer Course Cross-listed with MALS 490
