The New Issue of Convergence Is Here

We are pleased to share with you the Spring/Summer 2011 issue of Convergence, our MALS and IDS department newsletter.  Students and faculty should expect to receive a print copy in the mail any day now, but you can also read the digital copy posted above by clicking “Fullscreen.”

In addition to profiling students and faculty members, we asked a few of our students to share their own academic experiences in a new section called First-Person Discoveries.

Convergence Is Back

by Joe Andrukaitis

When I first began working with the MALS and IDS office this summer, I was given the task of redesigning our programs’ print newsletter, Convergence.  The newsletter had been on hiatus for some time, and our goal was to get a new, revamped version into mailboxes by the beginning of Autumn Quarter.  Now after a few months of assembling information and experimenting with layouts, I’m happy to say the Autumn 2010 issue of Convergence has gone to print.

If you’re a student, alumnus, or faculty member associated with our program, you should expect to receive your copy in the mail any day now.  In future issues, we’d like to keep you updated on changes within our programs as well as the professional accomplishments of our distinguished alumni.  If you have any news you’d like to share with the MALS and IDS communities, we encourage you to contact our office with the details.
